Diana's Education & Experiences

Diana has been a health care practitioner for over 29 years and a Licensed Acupuncturist for 10 years.  As a child she suffered from terrible gastrointestinal issues that were not helped by conventional mainstream medicine.  Things got worse and endometriosis was the next ailment that again traditional medical treatment proved in-effective.  After multiple surgeries, Diana set out on a path to heal herself.  At an early age, Diana had already begun her own experimentation with food and began studying nutrition, herbal medicine and functional endocrinology.  She utilized herbology, holistic health practices and her knowledge of whole food nutritional therapy to solve all her problems.  While the path to recovery wasn't easy, she learned invaluable lessons that she now passes on to her patients so that they do not have to experience what she did.   Diana now attracts patients who have similar and other complex challenges.  Her passion for research and thirst for knowledge combined with the determination of a Marine, thanks to her father, shines through as she creates nutrition/herbal protocols to help her patients heal and recover rapidly.

Diana is a NCCAOM Certified Acupuncturist graduating with a 4 year Master Degree in Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine & Acupuncture.   Her Bachelors of Science in Health & Exercise is from Springfield College, which is the originator of the Spirit, Mind and Body philosophy and the YMCA.  She lived in Japan for 5 years and uses many of the Asian practices in her daily life.   She has attended over 2,000 hours in Advanced Clinical Nutrition, Functional Endocrinology & Specialty Acupuncture seminars.   Early in her career, she was a massage therapist and had treated over 13,000 clients over 16 years.  She creates her own body care products and uses Aromatherapy extensively in her wellness center. [powr-popup id=9d182c9c_1471414237]

What is the story behind the name 'Bright Path?'

Diana's childhood idol was Jim Thorpe whose Native American name was "Wa-tho-huk" translated as Bright Path, for whom her wellness center is named.  Jim won Gold in the Decathlon & Pentathlon in the 1912 Olympics and is considered one of the Greatest Athletes of All Time.  Diana's Grandfather & Jim were friends.
